Magdalena Wielopolski
Lead Product Designer at Hover, recipient of the Company Values Award 2024, based in Los Angeles, CA.
With 12+ years working in the digital design industry, specializing in product design, I focus on solving user problems through easy to use, accessible, and delightful experiences. I understand how to convert business goals into user-centered solutions and vice versa, and how to craft compelling narratives that unite organizations in achieving those goals.
I have designed end-to-end user experiences that have brought new meaning to a company’s mission, increased revenue by $80m through a new (and patented) robust search experience, and helped thousands of people gain better access to mental health support.
At the core of everything I do are the relationships that make the work happen: 1) cross-functional collaboration, 2) supporting, mentoring, and managing team members, and 3) an intimate understanding of the people who use our products.
My ultimate goal is to deliver experiences that users find meaningful, accessible, and memorable.

Academia
My fascination with all things psychology and my fondness for accessible digital experiences lead me to pursue a masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology, which I completed in 2021 at the University of East London, UK. My masters’ research focused on how online mental wellbeing platforms can better encourage adult men in seeking mental health support.
I have guest lectured on the topics of user experience and product design at The Royal College of Arts and Central Saint Martin’s College in London, UK.
